How to Report a Lost or Stolen Card

If your card is lost or stolen, notify the financial institution that issued the card as soon as possible. You have a better chance of preventing fraud and limiting your financial loss when you contact your financial institution immediately.

Your report should include the following details:

  • card or account number
  • name on the card
  • date, time, and amount of the last known transaction
  • circumstances about the loss of the card and when the loss was first noticed

You should also advise your financial institution if anyone besides yourself knows or has access to the PIN (Personal Identification Number).
